boo yah.
I ALMOST MADE MAMA SPIT OUT HER TEA AT LUNCH. this is epic because it’s usually me (sometimes betsy…dunno if alex and john have done it) who can’t control herself long enough to swallow before laughing.  it made me so proud that i almost got mama.  some day, you too will have to sop up your drink from your plate.

I'd like to buy the Chamber of Secrets please. →
Mama was reading this article (she reads the newspaper outloud when she thinks there’s an interesting piece that we should know about) and marveling about what a steal it would be.  You wanna live in London?  This is how you can do it cheaply, as long as you don’t mind the hot stale air, lack of sunlight, and the underground rumbling ABOVE your head. While she was reading all I could...

Family IT
Last year was our first flat-screen, Apple TV, AirPort Extreme, networked printing and NAS. Adoption was slow.  I was the only one who used the 160GB drive hooked up to the network as well as the printer.  Same w/ the Apple TV, pretty much. These days, Katie brings downloaded episodes of various shows home from her computer down @ Rutgers (I had gotten her and Betsy a Slingbox years ago w/o...

weird
i know that this isn’t any different than other studies that have been done in search for a cure, but when kerri wrote about it i started crying just like she did. it’s so strange to think about something that has forever been considered impossible as possible.  it turns your world upside down.  it defies the logic that you’ve been trying to come to grips with this whole time. ...

motivation
Mama just suggested that Betsy and I apply to graduate schools together.  I think she was banking on the fact that we/she used to dress (us) the same, we went to the same college, and this follows that pattern.  Betsy just mumbled something about her CPA exam and avoided the heat, leaving me to say “yeah I should get on that…” But I think my new response to the grad school...

An American History Lesson
We the People……..that’s right, this seminal moment in American history, has produced Change, a much talked about but hardly implemented political idealogy of the ‘60’s. Well, let’s walk the talk now and be careful what you, America, wished for. Or as Barbra Streisand would sing, Happy Days are Here Again……………

Civics Lesson 101: Who really elects the President
It is the Electoral College, not the popular vote, that elects the next president of the United States. Here are some facts about the Electoral College: * There are 538 members of the Electoral College, allotted to the 50 states and District of Columbia based on their representation in the U.S. Congress. The smallest states have three members, while the most populous state, California, has 55....

I have to buy Pepsi.
I’ve had a “Buy Pepsi 20 oz Get 1 Free” bottle cap in my bag for a few weeks now, just burning a hole.  I know that I’m wasting money actually using it, but it has the word “Free” on it, so I have to.  Thanks Mom, for that, by the way.  I exchanged it tonight after class, and got 2 bottles for $1.26.  We’ll ignore the ridiculous pricing - it was the campus...
