So I was going back through tumblr posts because I’ve been neglecting the tags and I was skimming over stuff.  Most of it’s from John, and some of those things are from other people via John.  But it’s been edited, and John picks out the most poignant lines from probaby larger articles/posts.  As I read through them, all I’m thinking is “Geez, this is the kind of shit that belongs on fortune cookies.”  I don’t mean that the stuff is crap, to be read and discarded once you don’t bother memorizing your lucky numbers.  I mean that fortune cookies need to step up their game.

I’ll remember your restaurant if I get cookies from you with one-liners that make me think.  I’ll save the scrap of paper and put your number on speed dial.
